This collection represents my approach to innovation through systematic experimentation. Each project serves as a technical proof-of-concept, exploring emerging technologies and unconventional problem-solving methods. These experiments demonstrate my ability to rapidly prototype, iterate, and transform abstract concepts into functional demonstrations.
These experiments follow a structured approach: identify emerging technology → rapid prototype → iterate based on performance → scale viable concepts. This methodology has proven effective for transforming speculative ideas into production-ready solutions, demonstrating both creative vision and practical implementation skills valued in fast-paced technology environments.
Each project serves as both a learning exercise and a potential foundation for larger applications, showcasing the iterative thinking and technical versatility essential for roles in innovative technology companies.
A DAY IN FAYOUM
At sunset, wondering out into the open silence of the Fayoum desert. The sky melted into warm orange and purple hues, and every step felt like walking in a loop—with no clear beginning or end. The vastness made time feel suspended. The sand, the fading sun, the wind—it all blurred into a surreal rhythm. That moment, where movement felt cyclical and endless, became the seed for this piece.
Technical
- Began with a digital painting created in Photoshop, inspired by the landscape and memory of that desert sunset.
-
Imported the painting into TouchDesigner to animate it, integrating textured 3D elements to simulate the passing of time—from sunrise to sunset.
-
Carefully designed lighting, movement, and shading to bring depth and life to the static painting, transforming it into a dynamic audiovisual environment.
-
All textures were custom-made to match the brushwork and color palette of the original painting, maintaining visual cohesion throughout the animation.
- The animation is set to a track by Khruangbin, whose atmospheric, globally-influenced sound complements the desert visuals and enhances the immersive experience
FIFI KNOWS BEST
Under a wash of spotlights, Fifi steps forward—the camera silently tracing her every move. Each shimmy and sway sparks living trails of light, as if her body itself were painting the air in realtime.
Technical
- Real-time body tracking via Kinect v2 or webcam with OpenPose
- Particle systems layered with displacement mapping and glow effects
- Designed for integration in stage shows, fashion shoots, or interactive installations
- Visual narrative inspired by Fifi Abdou—legendary Egyptian dancer known for her magnetic stage presence and unapologetic flair
NORITAKE BDNY
A poetic interface where user emotion drives the flow of time. This interactive prototype reimagines how memories are recalled—not as fixed sequences, but as fluid, emotionally-guided reconstructions.
Role: Concept, design, coding (p5.js, Web Speech API)
Experimental Methodology:
- Rhino used for 3D visualization, dimension testing, and light placement simulations
- Physical mock-up created to test light effects on walls
- Detailed section and industrial technical drawings prepared for contractors
- Onsite installation coordinated to ensure design intent and quality

TIME IS OUT OF ORDER
A poetic interface where user emotion drives the flow of time. This interactive prototype reimagines how memories are recalled—not as fixed sequences, but as fluid, emotionally-guided reconstructions.
This approach offers potential far beyond the prototype: a foundation for moodboarding tools, personal photo archives, or immersive installations—where emotion becomes the lens through which memory, reference, and aesthetic direction are reshaped.
Experimental Methodology:
- Emerging tech: generative AI + browser-based interactivity
-
Rapid prototype: built using p5.js and Web APIs
-
Iterate on UX: emotion input reshuffles fixed visuals to simulate AI interpretation
-
Scale potential: adaptable to digital memory archives, moodboards, or immersive installations
Creative Insight:
This project explores the nonlinear nature of memory through emotional filtering. By typing a single word, users prompt an AI to re-order nostalgic visuals and generate a poetic spoken caption, mimicking the unpredictability of human recollection.List of words available for prototype:
wonder, elation, joy, serenity, nostalgia, desire, awe, stillness, longing, bliss, excitement, thrill, comfort, euphoria, vulnerability, contentment, tenderness, hope
